The red wine Luce IGT, vintage 1996 from the winery Tenuta Luce has been rated in 2004 with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Medium carmine-garnet color, delicately softened, broad rim brightening, delicate hints of preserved cherries on the nose, very ripe, smoky, nutty, medium-bodied, elegant on the palate, good race, wood discreet and well integrated, significantly higher Merlot content, shows freshness, relatively high acidity, remains rather short on the finish. Much younger in the mouth than on the palate, a good food companion. (90,000 bottles)
