The red wine Prima Pietra Toscana IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Tenuta Prima Pietra has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with purple glints. The finely-drawn nose opens with inviting spice notes and lots of dark berries. There's exciting interplay on the palate, which shows good density and lots of finely-meshed tannin. It is both polished and juicy at the same time, with vivid fruit and slightly resinous notes on the finish.
