The red wine Nerento Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Tenuta Villa Trasqua has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Deep ruby in colour. The nose is rich and generous with aromas of ripe wild berries, black summer truffle and fine oak, supported by notes of green tea and rosehip confit. On the palate, tight tannin and fine juiciness nicely envelope the tongue, and there is a delicate savouriness to the wine, despite feeling slightly unbalanced on the finish.
