The red wine Primitivo Gioia del Colle Riserva Chiaromonte DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Tenute Chiaromonte has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Primitivo from the region Puglia in Italy.
It has a brilliant ruby colour with a light garnet shimmer. it is rich on the nose with notes of pomegranate, ripe raspberry and bay leaf, and with some liquorice in the background. It is hearty and grippy on the palate, with plenty of robust tannins, but also showing slightly overripe notes.
