Deep dark, shimmering ruby purple colour. Opens with notes of cloves and Szechuan pepper, then elderberries and plums. Shows a lot of rough tannins on the palate, builds up with a lot of power, but then clearly dry on the finish and also with a lot of wood influence, a somewhat rough guy.
