The red wine Antonius, vintage 2007 from the winery Thomas Schwarz has been rated in 2010 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Dark ruby in colour. On the spicy nose, subtle notes of damp undergrowth, hints of tobacco, smoky notes, blackberry, liquorice, and citrus zest. The palate is elegant, and finely meshed with good complexity, delicate plum fruit and fine acidity, the finish is mineral and persistent with berry-fruit, orange and cherry notes. A multi-faceted food wine with ageing potential.
