Tasting from 01.01.2022: Peter Pharos

Intensely aromatic, with strawberries and red apple, and a hint of metallic sensation - plays cleverly with oxidisation, flirting with crossing the line but never doing so. Excellent texture, maintaining a balance between structure and softness. The fruit is there, particularly on the aftertaste, but it talks softly, never shouts. This is the finest Xinomavro rosé I am aware of - and very much an antidote to bubble-gum rosés. (Drink 2022-2023)
