Rich, deep dark ruby. Very dense and intense nose of lilies, dark rose petals, then lots of prune and dried cherry, fine wood savouriness in the background. Powerful and gripping, spreads out richly, dense tannin and lots of ripe fruit, but already seems more like a small Amarone and not like a Valpolicella.
