The orange wine Garnellen, vintage 2014 from the winery Tröpfltalhof has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Kalterersee in Italy.
Fermentation in clay amphorae, skins are removed in spring, then another 21 months in amphorae. Clear, intense nose, dark currants, some gooseberry and nettle, also chamomile. Shows good tension on the palate, lots of fruit, subtle tannic components on the finish.
