The red wine Vallegre Reserva, vintage 2018 from the winery Vallegre – Vinhos do Porto has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Vinhão, Tempranillo from the region Douro in Portugal.
Wood savouriness on the nose, black cherries, raisins, bay leaf, dried herbs, tobacco, milk chocolate. Powerful on the palate, pithy tannins, juicy fruit, cherries, red and dark berries, subtle sweetness, fine savouriness, long on the palate. Good with food in convivial company.
