The red wine Barolo Rocche di Castiglione DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Vietti has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Intense ruby with a fine garnet sheen. A very appealing and complex nose that opens with notes of coriander seeds, then blackberry and plum. Clean, clear and straightforward. Juicy and smooth on the palate thanks to lots of plump, ripe fruit, raspberries and dark cherries. Velvety, dense tannin build toward a very long finish.
