The red wine Monleale Barbera DOC, vintage 2004 from the winery Vigneti Massa has been rated in 2014 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Barbera from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright, intense dark garnet red colour. Very vivid and intense nose, rich aromas of ripe blackberry and plum, some clove and cinnamon in the background. Extremely juicy and clear on the palate, shows lots of fresh fruit, amazing for a ten-year-old wine (!), fine-meshed tannins, juicy and with a fine drinking flow.
