Tasting from 12.10.2012

Dark ruby garnet with a firm colour core, purple reflections, and a touch of edge brightening. Juicy dark berry fruit, blackberry jam and cassis, with a hint of candied violets and a fine sweet spice on the nose. There's some hints of nougat too, underlaid with woody spice, a very seductive bouquet. Firmly bodied and complex on the palate with a core of dark wild berry jam, wrapped up in perfect tannins and with a mineral edge. It's pronounced in fruit and shows great length, a powerful wine that does not lack elegance and is only at the beginning of a great career. A benchmark for Chilean wine.
