Tasting Notes
Deep dark garnet with an opaque core and purple reflections, delicately brighter at the edge. Finely spiced bouquet, black berries, cassis, truffle, tapenade, black olive, Provençal herbs and cassis: a multi-layered bouquet. Powerful, intense, pleasant fruit expression on the palate, with ripe tannins and subtle nougat. Full-bodied and chocolaty-sweet on the finish. Still appears very young and underdeveloped overall, its opulent format is similar to Californian Cabernet Sauvignons. Still lacks the final balance, however, and shows traces of a slight over-extraction, which manifests itself in the form of a final tannic bitterness.
