The red wine Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Prunaio DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Viticcio has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich ruby red, with a slight purple tinge. Pronounced and inviting aromas of ripe fruit, wild berries, blackberries and light notes of eucalyptus. Beautifully elegant on the palate, with intense flavours of blackberry and wild berries, well integrated tannin and a long finish.
More about the tastingRich, firm ruby. Very dense and appealing nose, full of blackberries, some fresh figs, underpinned by notes of undergrowth. Full-bodied and taut in the attack and on the palate, builds well, very juicy, lots of crisp fruit, fine-meshed tannins.
