The red wine Donum, vintage 2008 from the winery WachterWein has been rated in 2011 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch from the region Eisenberg in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate watery rim. Pleasant precious wood spice on the nose, black fruit, some spicy herbs. Texturally rich, complex, sweet berry confit, some oranges and chocolate, lingers well, dried plums and nougat in the finish, a multi-faceted food companion that is a pleasure to drink.
