The red wine Churer Blauburgunder Gian-Battista, vintage 2001 from the winery Weinbau von Tscharner – Schloss Reichenau has been rated in 2015 by Martin Kilchmann with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Chur Rhine Valley in Switzerland.
Almost blackish red. Expressive bouquet, balsamic-spicy notes, undergrowth, licorice, mushrooms, malt, cassis, traces of wood, coffee, black chocolate. Powerful attack on the palate, dense, striking acidity, still fairly hard tannins. Long finish. Little Pinot finesse, but with an open future.
