The red wine Churer Blauburgunder Gian-Battista, vintage 2007 from the winery Weinbau von Tscharner – Schloss Reichenau has been rated in 2015 by Martin Kilchmann with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Chur Rhine Valley in Switzerland.
Strong red. Initially reductive on the nose, with aeration notes of cassis, blackberries, plums, smoky wood spice. Strong attack on the palate, full-bodied, tart structure, present acidity, firm tannins, berry aromas. Finishes long, slightly bitter and drying. Still rather unapproachable, edgy wine, patience is worthwhile.
