On the nose this has some tarry oak character, along with morello cherry, nougat and cinnamon, and black pepper. It is immediately salty on the palate, with flawlessly ripe tannins in rather medium quantities. It is subtly creamy, with a softly staged extract with good fruit and aromatic potential.
