There are aromas of subtle oak, some caramel, bay leaf, juniper berry, black pepper, and some balsamic undertones, as well as red currant, and cranberry. It is homogeneous on the palate, with delicate fruit, fine-grained tannins, and with great finesse. It is juicy, finely nerved, and a truly elegant wine.
