The sweet and dessert wine »RotSchiefer Fass 4« Ürzig Würzgarten Riesling Auslese, vintage 2018 from the winery WeinGut Benedict Loosen Erben has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Intense slate savouriness on the nose, also some reductive tones: almond, yeast, wax. The palate is tightly bundled, characterised by minerality and yeast savouriness, the sweetness remains very discreet for an Auslese, the acidity provides support and freshness, the finish again emphasises substance and minerality. Fine!
