The red wine »Vom Kalkfels« Merlot trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Benz has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Baden in Germany.
Deep dark garnet red in the glass. It has an aroma of red berries, blackberry, blueberry and black cherry. Deliciously juicy and velvety on the palate with sweet fruit and a charming flow. Delicate tannins provide a fine structure and the ageing in wooden barrels is very harmonious.
