The red wine »Urbanus« Pinot Noir, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Clauß has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Baden in Germany.
Obvious new wood, citrus notes, also mallow, caramel and red currant. On the palate the wine is supple and juicy with grainy, drying but ripe tannins. The acidity is well-integrated. The delicate fruity finish gives the wine a certain appeal despite its tannic power. Lastly, some chalky minerality shows through.
