Tart dominated nose. Slate smoke, cranberry, dried chokeberry, dried herbs such as sage and rosemary, grated nutmeg. Slight hint of violets. Noticeably phenolics, texture, juicy on the palate. Has plenty of tension and builds up a lot of tension. Elegant and fine despite dense extraction - ultimately still young.
