The white wine Besigheim Niedernberg Chardonnay VDP Erstes Gewächs, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Dautel has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Smoky and reductive on the nose, but not one-dimensional: there are also aromas of green apple, flax and unroasted sesame. A firework of acidity and minerality immediately ignites on the palate, still very compact and young, but with the prospect of years and decades of ageing.
