The white wine Eichenstein Riserva Weiss IGT, vintage 2013 from the winery Weingut Eichenstein has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Weißburgunder, Riesling from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling, rich straw yellow. Opens with fine spicy notes, some cinnamon, then lots of banana and baked apple, some mirabelle plums, shows beautiful play. Exciting on the palate, lots of juicy, fresh fruit, again mirabelle plums, some apple, juicy acidity, long finish, fine salty notes, still has plenty of ageing potential.
