The red wine Spätburgunder R, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Ernst Popp has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Franconia in Germany.
Rich and ripe aroma spectrum, ripe cherry and dark notes, cigar, juniper and incense, also menthol. Reflects the warm year with a soft and balsamically expansive body, the tannins are supple; dense and with good length, sweet expression on the palate and lots of piquant spice. Plenty of volume and substance.
