The white wine »Fumé« Sauvignon Blanc trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Eugen Müller has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The name says it all - the rich, opulent nose is full of smoke and savouriness, with mango, ripe gooseberry and blackcurrant. Clear in expression on the palate too, with a core of mango, passion fruit and blackcurrant. It's animating thanks to the good acidity that counters the corresponding fruit sweetness. Good length to the savoury finish.
