The red wine Blauburgunder Südtirol DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Falkenstein has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
It has a bright, elegant ruby red colour. There are spicy aromas of red bell pepper, rich cherry and freshly ground pepper, with a finish of wild berry and rose petals. It is refined on the palate, with a vivid core, some saltiness, showing an elegant progression with great spiciness, and it is precise and with great length on the finish. It has a unique Alpine style.
