The white wine Pinot Gris Ried Stradner Rosenberg, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Frauwallner Straden has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Vulkanland Styria in Austria.
Bright yellow gold. Ripe yellow apple fruit underlay with fine wood savouriness, a touch of hazelnut and notes of clove and candied orange zest; an inviting bouquet. Full-bodied on the palate, creamy texture, a very fine fruitiness, good acid structure, ripe pear fruit on the finish. A mineral echo and good ageing potential.
