The white wine »Roter Hang« Riesling trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Gehring has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Initially rather restrained on the nose, then there is fine apricot, aniseed and an almost liquorice like spiciness in the background. Extremely juicy on the palate, lots of ripe apricot, plus very delicate lime blossom, very animating, at the same time rich in fruit and well captured. Extremely successful!
