The red wine Zweigelt Sixty-Eight Ried Dorfweingarten, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut Georg Preisinger has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Burgenland in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, with an opaque core, and a lovely bright ochre rim. There are aromas of delicate dark berry fruit, underlaid with vanilla and caramel, along with discreet notes of liquorice and nougat, and a nice tobacco savouriness. It is juicy, complex, very fresh and lively, with dark cherry, fine integrated tannins, and a salty minerality on the finish. It has reached full maturity and still has a lot of potential.
