The red wine St. Laurent Ried Herrschaftswald, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Gernot Schuhmann has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety St. Laurent from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
It has a deep ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There is a lovely oaky spiciness, some vanilla and white nougat, a hint of roasted plum, and a coconut touch. It is juicy, firm, with well-integrated tannins, ripe wild berry confit, persistence, and some caramel on the aftertaste. It is a multi-layered food wine, with ageing potential.
