It has a deep dark ruby colour, with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a subtle ochre rim. There is a lovely savouriness, a hint of black cherry fruit, and a subtle olive touch, it is a fine bouquet. It is powerful, with a fine structure, a chocolaty flavour, well-integrated tannins, and some plum notes on the finish. It has certain ageing potential.
