The red wine Portugieser Muschelkalk trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Grober Feetz has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points.
Very dark in colour. The nose has notes of prune, dark chocolate and herbal spice. The palate has the powerful tannins that the colour suggests, but the tannins are ripe and also smooth and fruit packed, the wine finishes juicy rather than astringent. A strikingly extracted red wine with very good ageing potential.
