The white wine »Melchisedec« Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Heid has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Württemberg in Germany.
A single half-barrel, ten months ageing on the lees - this is exactly what the Melchisedec presents on the nose: rather vanilla notes, velvety, a little caramel. On the palate, the vintage adds its high acidity, and the still somewhat unfinished thing is finished. Great potential!
