Tasting Notes
On the nose, initial aromas indicate maturity, milk chocolate, herbs and almost macchia-like notes. On the palate, very juicy behind the powerful, somewhat broad body and taut, slightly astringent tannins, overall well balanced by the tannins and ripe acidity.
More about the tastingA deep sour cherry nose with undertones of herbs, chocolate, black pepper and truffles emerges from the glass. In the mouth, the wine is dense with fine-grained, fresh, sinewy tannins, a vital acidity accompanies the surprisingly cool structure for the vintage. The finish is compact and mineral.
