The white wine »Löss« Grauer Burgunder Landwein, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Höfflin has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauer Burgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
On the nose are hints of buttermilk and pear followed by yellow fruit and fine yeast. Juicy and creamy on the palate with tones of peppery spice. A unique Pinot Gris that's not in the slightest bit kitschy but has traction that is supported by the acidity with a good phenolic backbone.
