The white wine »Prestige Phonolith« Grauer Burgunder, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Höfflin has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauer Burgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Light golden in colour. A hint of woody spice meets balsamic, slightly tuffy tones and Ruländer-like fruit. In the mouth, the wine has a dry extract core and taut acidity, creating an impression of a compact and tightly bound body that's almost sinewy and still very closed. The depth and mineral base are already recognisable though - as well as very good ageing potential.
