The red wine »Cuvée Karl Holz« trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Holz-Weisbrodt has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Spätburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Chocolatey notes dominate the aroma, some wood, malty notes and then fruit ranging from elderberry to sweet cherry. On the palate, the wine has a juicy attack, fine-grained tannins in the right quantity and a rather mild acidity. The wine combines its substance well with fullness and a supple background. Good ageing potential!
