The white wine »S.« Escherndorf Lump Riesling trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Horst Sauer has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Franconia in Germany.
The aroma of the "Lump S" is openly floral, with citrus aromas and hints of shattered rock. On the palate, it has a beautiful density, and firm, structured acidity, the rich structure refreshed by a little carbon dioxide, a wine with good length.
More about the tastingComplex on the nose with yellow fruit tones, citric and mineral components. On the palate a tautly interpreted late harvest style, the wine certainly has maturity and breadth, but is slimmed down in its effect by substance, minerality and firm acidity. Good length!
