The white wine Efringer Ölberg Katzenrain Silvaner, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Huck-Wagner has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Baden in Germany.
Terraced site, with vines over 50 years old. Maceration in 500 litre barrels. Discreet wood, yellow fruit, herbs. Supple, soft flow, round and ripe, voluminous, textured, a layer of phenolics, minerality very slowly gaining intensity, full and long finish. Impressive.
