The nose points to the Pfalz, relaxed, earthy, fruity. Notes of apple, stone fruit, subtle spiciness, you think you can see the almond trees. On the palate, the dominant acidity regulates the proportions, making the wine seem drier than it actually is. Good tension, good volume, not restrained, a mature Riesling that finishes with salty notes. Always a pleasure with food.
