The red wine Eichkogel, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut Kollwentz has been rated in 2013 with 93 - 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, opaque core, purple reflections. Inviting black berry fruit, some nougat, hints of orange zest, nuances of blackberry and liquorice. Juicy, good complexity, ripe cherry flavour, well-integrated tannins, mineral and fresh on the finish, good length, chocolaty aftertaste.
