The red wine »Astacus Reserve«, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Krebs has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Sun-kissed ripe fruits on the nose, figs, cassis, blackberries, raisins, cocoa beans, floral hints, autumn leaves. Powerful on the palate, fruit and savouriness go hand in hand, well-integrated acidity, fine-grained tannins, gastronomic versatility with braised meats or for contemplation in front of the fireplace.
