The red wine »EG« Assmannshausen Frankenthal Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Krone Assmannshausen has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Rose hip, cranberry and wild strawberry on the nose. The palate is supple and fresh, but develops an enormous tannic drive on this basis: fine-grained, ripe, homogeneous with high density. Lots of terroir, clear tactile minerality and three decades of future.
