The red wine Höllenberg Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Krone Assmannshausen has been rated in 2026 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rheingau in Germany.
A very delicate and complex spice: Mint, sweet almond and marzipan, small red berries, then black pepper, juniper, slate. The palate is even less open than the nose: it contrasts melting with fine-grained, still firm, slightly dry tannins. Ripe acidity carries without being isolated. A promise for years to come.
