Tasting Notes
This was the Perwolff with the highest Cabernet Sauvignon content ever. Dark ruby garnet with purple reflections and a subtle edge brightening. Attractive dark berry fruit with hints of cassis on the nose, alongside floral bergamot. A complex palate shows sweet, fresh, ripe red forest berries supported by firm tannins and a mineral-salty finish. There's a subtle sweetness in the aftertaste and some fine balsamic nuances in the aftertaste which balance the nougat notes. Great length and freshness, thanks to the large bottle - as if trapped in a time capsule: at its best. (Drink).
More about the tastingDark ruby garnet, deep core, youthful reflections. Initially somewhat smoky and reductive on the nose, dark berries, herbal spice, sour cherries, almost Piedmontese character, mineral, some blueberry confit with air. Juicy and sweet on the palate, wonderful, soft tannins, fine chocolate touch, extract-sweet berry fruit, stays very well on the palate, incredibly youthful and fresh, the acidity dominates the finish, great shape, great potential.
