Tasting Notes
Shining dark ruby with purple reflections and delicate edge brightening. Intense black forest berry fruit, tobacco-like herbal savouriness, nuances of blackberry and dark sweet cherry underlaid with candied orange zest. Juicy, elegant palate with fine fruit, ripe cherry again and round, velvety tannins. Mineral on the finish and a hint of nougat in the aftertaste. Shows very good length and freshness. Has maturity and ageing potential.
More about the tastingDeep, dark ruby red, an opaque core, subtle brightening on the rim. Fine oak, subtle notes of blackberries and cardamom, delicate notes of liquorice and candied mandarin zest, multi-faceted, with a young bouquet. Juicy, a refined sweetness, ripe cherries, silky tannins, an acidity full of finesse, a taut minerality, long and lingering, strong ageing potential, but definitely still needs time.
