The white wine Hochheim Kirchenstück Riesling Auslese trocken, vintage 2002 from the winery Weingut Künstler has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter, Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Golden yellow in colour with greenish reflections. Ripe aromas of iodine, saffron and caraway, but also with plenty of fruit alongside the tertiary notes - particularly mango and peach. There's a steely acidity on the sinewy palate, which feels very saline, and shows some reductive notes. Unconventional and sensationally well thought-out.
